SWIMMING COSTUMES
After the debacle of the Olympic Games, FINA (the International Body) has ruled that with effect from 1st January 2010 the following rules will apply to Swimsuits:
Men - No part of the body above the naval or below the knee shall be covered.
Women - No part of the body below the knee, above the neck or any part of the arms shall be covered. In addition the back shall be open and have no zips, buckles or buttons.
Although we are still waiting for the ASA to ratify this ruling, Hampshire ASA has already stated that this rule will be in effect for the County Championships.
Both Speedo and Arena are heavily marketing the old Swimsuits at a heavily discounted price. Beware before you buy, you may not be allowed to wear it in any competition.
