Race walking Mitchells

Natasha and Rebecca Mitchell competed in Sunday's Southern Area Race Walking Championships and London Open Walks Competition. Despite a chilly breezy day at Hillingdon Cycle Circuit their winter training paid off with both coming away with huge PBs. Natasha led the first walk from start to finish, coming away with 1st place in the U15G, with 16:46 for 3km. Rebecca experienced some exciting racing in the larger second walk, coming 3rd in the u17W with 31:40 for 5km. They were Winchester's first ever race walkers at this event and their success was a credit to the support of our band of hard working Winchester Race Walkers and their dance and swim training.
As a result of Natasha's recent wins she has been chosen to represent England for the England vs Ireland race walk at the end of Feb on the Isle of Man!

The Club is really proud of the fantastic effort from all the swimmers. RATS came a close second at Christchurch with 5 speeding tickets! Everyone swam confidently and should be really pleased with their individual effort - well done. Wow what a fantastic Club Champs - two weekends of great swims from everyone that participated. Well done. We had loads of PB's and consequently we now have more than 100 automatic and consideration times for Hampshire Counties 2025. All the swimmers should be proud of their efforts and determination to beat their own times and for the support that they showed their fellow swimmers. AMAZING – huge congratulations to all that swam at the Hampshire County Championships. RATS had a total of 34 swimmers in the Freestyle and Medley Relays, each swimmer putting in a great effort to make the Club proud. We had 14 swimmers competing in individual events bringing home a total of: 9 Gold, 8 Silver and 8 Bronze medals.
